China Airlines has announced a reduction of up to 22% in excess baggage fees for its international routes. Prepaid excess baggage fees will also receive an additional 15% discount. This means that travelers can now save over 30% on checked baggage, allowing them to shop and enjoy their overseas trip to the fullest. China Airlines switched to a piece-based system for all routes in 2022 and increased its free checked baggage allowance to two pieces.

To upgrade its services, China Airlines has reduced excess baggage fees in each region. China Airlines is also allowing more flexibility in prepaid excess baggage by extending the deadline to four hours before departure. China Airlines is now providing child safety seats as part of the free baggage allowance for children and infants. Travelers can also bring safety seats or folding prams as checked baggage. Sports equipment such as windsurfboards, surfboards, and kayaks are now included with no restrictions on overall dimensions, only limitations on weight. Pricing for oversized baggage has been reduced by 50%. Music lovers can enjoy the best total dimensions for individual musical instruments in Taiwan, and pet transportation fees have been adjusted.
