Bonza, a budget airline, has recently unveiled its plans to extend its services by launching 11 new routes from a new base located in Gold Coast. With this expansion, the airline is set to introduce 70 new flights per week, which will translate to an additional 700,000 passenger seats annually, to and from Gold Coast Airport.

The new routes will cover a variety of destinations, including Albury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne Avalon, Melbourne Tullamarine, Mildura, Rockhampton, Townsville, and the Whitsunday Coast.
According to Tim Jordan, the airline's CEO, this announcement will create greater "depth" in the network by connecting existing Bonza destinations to the third base¹. He also added that the new routes would offer locals from South Brisbane to Northern NSW regions the opportunity to explore their own backyard with low-cost flights to various regional locations.
