Cairo, February 11 - President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recently viewed EgyptAir's newest aircraft, the Airbus A350, upon his return to Cairo International Airport from a short visit to the United Arab Emirates on February 9, 2026. The inspection highlighted the national carrier's ongoing commitment to fleet modernization and operational excellence. Accompanied by senior officials, the President examined the advanced wide-body jet, which marks a significant milestone in EgyptAir's efforts to enhance its long-haul capabilities and passenger experience.

Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny emphasized that the Airbus A350 represents a major leap forward in upgrading EgyptAir’s fleet. The aircraft aligns with the highest international standards, improving efficiency, comfort, and service quality for passengers on medium- and long-haul routes. As part of a broader strategy, this addition strengthens EgyptAir’s position by incorporating state-of-the-art technology that supports sustainable and competitive air travel operations.

The EgyptAir Airbus A350 joins a current fleet of approximately 70 aircraft, comprising models from Airbus and Boeing that serve an extensive network of long-, medium-, and short-haul destinations. The induction of this modern jet underscores Egypt's focused plan to develop its civil aviation sector, positioning the country as a leading regional hub for air transport and connectivity across continents.

To further accelerate growth, EgyptAir has secured orders for six additional Airbus A350 aircraft.
