The centerpiece of the initiative is a 4% increase across the board. This applies to base salaries, transportation allowances, and special allowances for UAE nationals. Flight crew members will also see a 4% adjustment to their working hours. Beyond the salary bump, Emirates is offering a welcome boost to employee living expenses. Subsistence and accommodation allowances will see an increase of up to 15%, depending on the employee's grade. This will provide much-needed support for staff navigating the cost of living in Dubai and other locations.

The focus on employee well-being extends beyond finances. Emirates recognizes the importance of family life and is extending paid maternity leave from 60 to 90 days. New mothers will also appreciate the increase in daily nursing breaks from one to two hours. Fathers won't be left out – paid paternity leave has doubled from five to ten working days. The company further demonstrates its commitment to education by announcing a 10% increase in the education support allowance, effective September 1, 2024. This will assist employees in pursuing professional development opportunities.
