Miami International Airport (MIA) has recently announced that starting from March 31, 2024, LEVEL, the long-haul budget airline owned by International Airlines Group (IAG), will be introducing a new flight service between Barcelona and Miami. The new service will initially run three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with an additional flight on Saturdays during the peak summer season from June to September. Miami will be the fifth U.S. city with a direct LEVEL flight from Barcelona, joining the existing routes to New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

In the summer of 2024, LEVEL plans to increase its U.S. seat capacity by 50% compared to the previous summer, thanks to the addition of a sixth aircraft to its fleet. The airline aims to expand its fleet to eight aircraft by 2026. Established in 2017, LEVEL operates alongside five other airlines, including Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Iberia Express, and Vueling, which is another airline in the IAG group.

Passengers traveling to Barcelona will benefit from seamless one-stop connectivity to various European destinations, thanks to a partnership with Vueling. This new route will provide travelers with more options to visit Barcelona, one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations. With LEVEL's low-cost model, more people will be able to afford to travel, making it an affordable option for those looking for budget-friendly travel options.
