On November 7, 2023, a CanaryFly flight had a terrifying landing attempt at Lanzarote Airport. The incident was captured by a live webcam at the airport. CanaryFly flight PM618, an ATR 72-500 plane (reg. EC-MSM), was flying from Gran Canaria and attempted to land at Lanzarote Airport after only 40 minutes of flight during strong winds. The pilot tried to land, but the aircraft bounced four times on the runway.

Upon touching the ground, the aircraft destabilized. It first collided with the rear wheels and then with the front wheels. After the failed landing, the crew tried a second time without leaving the runway or returning to the air, but the aircraft bounced again against the runway. After bouncing several times, the aircraft returned to the air. It managed to land successfully after around 15 minutes. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
