In the first seven months of the year, Airbus experienced an 11% increase in airplane deliveries, totaling 381. The company confirmed that 65 airplanes were delivered in July, as reported by Reuters. Airbus' delivery pace has accelerated since May, following a slow start to the year, as it aims to achieve 720 deliveries for the year.

The company recently reaffirmed this goal in its half-year earnings report. However, it dropped an interim target of producing 65 narrow-body jets per month by the end of 2024, which was up from its current rate of around 47. In July, Airbus received 60 gross orders, including previously announced deals with Pegasus Airlines for 36 additional jets and with Icelandair for 13 of its newest single-aisle model, the A321XLR. The majority of the 1,140 gross orders booked so far this year are from India.

The company also received orders for 10 A350-900 long-haul jets from undisclosed buyers and one from IAG for Iberia. IAG recently converted options for six Boeing 787-10s held by British Airways and one Airbus A350-900 held by Iberia into firm orders. They also took out new options for six additional 787-10s. Airbus data showed the cancellation of three A350-900 jets, with the name of the buyer remaining undisclosed. Additionally, approximately 7% of the outstanding Airbus order backlog, which is nearly 8,000 jets, remains unidentified, not including 17 privately owned planes that are yet to be delivered.
