Saudi Airlines (Saudia) has launched a new route from its hub in Jeddah to Birmingham, England. The inaugural flight took off on July 1, 2023, and will operate three times weekly. The new route is part of Saudia's expansion plans, which aim to increase connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world.
Birmingham is a major economic and cultural center in the UK, and the new route is expected to boost trade and tourism between the two countries. The flight will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which can seat up to 298 passengers. The aircraft features a spacious cabin with lie-flat seats in business class and reclining seats in economy class.
Passengers will also enjoy a variety of in-flight entertainment options, including movies, TV shows, and games.
The new route is a welcome addition to Birmingham Airport's route network. The airport already serves a number of destinations in the Middle East, including Dubai, Doha, and Istanbul. The addition of Saudia will give passengers even more choices when traveling to and from the UK.
