Jetstar Took Delivery Of Eighth Airbus A321neo LR

Jetstar, Australia's low-cost carrier, welcomed its eighth new Airbus A321neo LR on June 27, 2023. The aircraft, registration VH-OFW, touched down at Melbourne Airport after a 20-hour journey from Airbus' facility in Hamburg, Germany. The A321neo LR is the longest-range variant of the A321neo family, with a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles (7,400 kilometers). This allows Jetstar to operate new routes between Australia and destinations in Asia, such as Bali, Phuket, and Singapore.

The A321neo LR is also more fuel-efficient than previous-generation aircraft, which will help Jetstar to reduce its carbon emissions. The aircraft is equipped with new engines and a new wing design, which together deliver a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency.
