Attendees from China and the Arab world explored new possibilities for collaboration at the recent Arab-China Commerce Conference in Riyadh to unlock the potential of joint commerce between two fascinating markets, notably in air connectivity.
The conference, now in its tenth year, brings together top government officials, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and investors. The establishment of greater air linkages to stimulate tourist growth and uncover new prospects was a hot subject at the event, with ACP's booth serving as part of the Ministry of Tourism's attempts to bring attention to the Kingdom's high-potential travel and tourism businesses.
"ACP is bridging the stakeholder ecosystem to establish Saudi Arabia as a leading global tourism destination, in line with Vision 2030 and the ambitions of the National Tourism Strategy." "Chinese visitors will play a critical role in achieving this goal," said Ali Rajab, CEO of ACP.

Saudi Arabia's travel and tourism officials, including stakeholders like ACP, are working hard to make the country a sought-after air connectivity destination. In the last year, the Kingdom has seen 23 new flights connecting to Saudi Arabia from three continents, resulting in a 700,000-seat capacity increase. Similarly, various agreements with government agencies inside the Kingdom, as well as international collaborations with both national and foreign airlines, have been developed to improve aviation connectivity in Saudi Arabia. As part of these efforts, 17 additional routes will be established in 2023, and seat capacity for priority markets will be increased to 730,000. Saudi Arabia’s central geographic location and diversifying economy are expected to attract continued interest from Chinese businesses after the Arab-China Business Conference. The prospect of enhanced air connectivity between the Kingdom and China will be an added advantage for future relations between the two countries.
