Vistara receives its first Airbus A321LR


Vistara is the first Indian airline to receive the Airbus A321LR.

The aircraft is part of an order for 50 Airbus A320 family aircraft by the airline.

Vistara is a full-service carrier and is a joint venture between Tata group and Singapore Airlines.

The long-range variant of the Airbus A320neo opens an array of possibilities for Vistara as it focuses on expanding its international network.

Layout

Vistara’s A321LR has three classes with a total of 188 seats:

12 Business Class over 3 rows in a 2 x 2 layout

24 Premium Economy over four rows in a 3 x 3 layout

152 Economy over 26 rows in a 3 x 3 layout

The Business Class seats are lie-flat. All seats are equipped with 4-way adjustable headrests, in-seat power/USB charging ports, state-of-the-art In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system featuring a multimedia library with up to 700 hours of content, and onboard Wi-Fi.

In late 2022, Tata announced it was planning to merge Vistara with Air India, also owned by Tata. The plan is to complete the merger by March 2024. Both have a A320s and 787s.
