Malaysia's new ULCC "MYAirline" is Now in Action

On December 10, at 11:45, Malaysia's newest ultra low cost carrier MYAirline operated its inaugural flight. The airlines very first flight was operated between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Baharu in the Malaysian state of Kelantan (About 439 Km. Northeast of Kuala Lumpur). The flight was operated as Z9-7101 using an Airbus A320 (Reg. 9M-DAB).

The airlines was granted AOC by Malaysian authorities on January 1st, 2022 allowing the company to conduct scheduled passenger and cargo services. 

In an earlier statement to the local media, the airline's CEO Rayner Teo said that that the idea of establishing MYAirline was driven by the popularity of low-cost carriers in the region's consumer market.

On November 26th, the airline announced its first three routes from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. MYAirline is operating flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA2).

MYAirline is operating a fleet of three Airbus A320-200.

The start-up airline has plans to operate more domestic and international routes in the near future, as indicated by airline's CEO last month. Read More.
