EgyptAir announced the resumption of flights to South Africa starting from December 16, with one flight weekly on Thursday of each week, after stopping due to concerns related to the "Omicron" variant.
The spokesman for the Egyptian Cabinet, Nader Saad, announced last November 26 that the Supreme Committee for Corona Crisis Management decided to stop direct flights to and from South Africa, against the background of what the World Health Organization announced about the “Omicron” variant.
