Toulouse, May 25 - Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR aircraft during a ceremony at Airbus's facility in Toulouse. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the airline's fleet modernization strategy, positioning Saudia as the first operator of the extra-long-range narrowbody jet in the Middle East and Africa. With an order for 15 A321XLRs, the new aircraft will enhance Saudia's ability to serve medium- to long-haul routes efficiently, replacing larger widebody planes on select services while offering superior fuel efficiency and extended range capabilities of up to 4,700 nautical miles.
