Boeing Jet Deliveries Surge to Highest Level Since 2018 in Major Turnaround

Seattle, January 14 - Boeing's turnaround in commercial aviation gained significant momentum in 2025, as the company achieved its highest annual jet deliveries since 2018. The American aerospace giant handed over 600 commercial airplanes to customers throughout the year, marking a substantial 72% increase from the 348 deliveries recorded in 2024. This performance reflects Boeing's successful efforts to stabilize production lines, address previous quality and supply chain challenges, and ramp up output across key programs. In the fourth quarter alone, Boeing delivered 160 aircraft, including a strong December tally of 63 jets, underscoring the accelerating pace of recovery in the post-pandemic era.

The delivery breakdown highlights the strength of Boeing's core narrowbody and widebody offerings. The 737 family, particularly the 737 MAX variants, led the way with 447 units delivered, demonstrating robust demand for this efficient single-aisle workhorse amid rising global air travel needs. Widebody contributions were also notable, with 88 Boeing 787 Dreamliners handed over, the highest since 2019, alongside 35 Boeing 777s and 30 Boeing 767s. These figures illustrate Boeing's ability to balance high-volume narrowbody production with premium widebody output, supporting both short-haul and long-haul market segments effectively.

This delivery milestone signals a broader resurgence for Boeing in the competitive commercial jet market. After years impacted by safety incidents, regulatory scrutiny, and operational hurdles, the company has focused on enhancing manufacturing processes, strengthening supplier relationships, and rebuilding customer confidence. The 2025 results position Boeing favorably as airlines seek to modernize fleets with fuel-efficient models like the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner, which offer superior operating economics and environmental performance compared to older generations.

While trailing Airbus's 793 deliveries in 2025, Boeing's achievement represents clear progress toward sustained growth and profitability. Industry observers view the elevated delivery numbers as a foundation for further production increases in the coming years, with positive cash flow anticipated as momentum continues. This recovery underscores Boeing's enduring role in powering global connectivity through reliable, advanced commercial jetliners.
