Air India has recently unveiled a significant overhaul of its international network, set to take effect in 2025, aiming to enhance passenger experience with upgraded aircraft and more strategic scheduling. This initiative follows the integration of Vistara into its operations, marking a new era under the Tata Group's ownership. Starting January 16, 2025, Air India will deploy retrofitted Airbus A320neo aircraft on the busy Delhi-Bangkok route. These aircraft will boast refreshed interiors across three classes: Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class, complete with Vista Stream, Air India's complimentary wireless inflight entertainment streaming service.
This upgrade is designed not only to elevate the flying experience but also to increase service frequency, with an additional daily flight between Delhi and Bangkok starting from January 1, 2025, making it four daily services. This enhanced connectivity will benefit passengers traveling between North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia through Delhi's hub. Moreover, key routes between India, Europe, and Southeast Asia will see further improvements. From January 1, 2025, the Delhi-Frankfurt and Mumbai-Frankfurt routes will be operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering passengers an advanced travel experience with modern cabin interiors, including fully flat beds in Business Class.
The Delhi-Singapore route will also see an upgrade with one daily service on the B787-9 and two on the A321neo, while Mumbai-Singapore will have twice-daily A321neo flights. These aircraft changes signify Air India's commitment to providing a consistent and luxurious travel experience. To further optimize travel schedules, Air India has retimed its flights on the Delhi-Frankfurt and Delhi-Paris routes effective February 1, 2025. The new schedules offer both daytime and nighttime departures, enhancing flexibility for travelers. Additionally, the airline has adjusted the timings of its Delhi-Sydney and Delhi-Melbourne flights to facilitate smoother connections between Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia via Delhi.
These network enhancements are part of Air India's broader strategy to position itself as a premier global airline. The upgrades are expected to not only improve passenger comfort and convenience but also to strengthen Air India's competitive edge in the international aviation market. The airline continues to invest in its fleet and service offerings, aiming to redefine the standards of international air travel from and to India.
