Qantas, Australia's national carrier, is expanding its direct services between Australia and Europe by introducing a new route from Perth to Paris, conveniently timed for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the European summer season. Building on the success of its unique direct flights from Perth to London and Rome, Qantas will be operating to Paris year-round, marking its return to the French capital after nearly two decades. This new route will reduce the current fastest travel time from Perth to Paris by approximately three hours.

Starting from July 12, 2024, the 17-hour flights from Perth to Paris will initially run four times a week during the peak European summer season, using the airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The frequency will be reduced to three times a week starting from mid-August 2024. With the recent addition of new aircraft and an increase in flight operations, Qantas Group's international capacity is expected to rise above 90% of pre-COVID levels by the end of this year and return to full capacity by mid-next year.
The new flights will operate via Qantas' existing terminal at Perth Airport (Terminal 3), facilitating smooth connections to other domestic destinations within Australia. Negotiations are underway between Qantas and Perth Airport regarding a potential move of operations to Terminal 1. The new service to Paris will provide customers with an additional option for connecting to over 70 destinations across Europe, including Barcelona, Munich, Frankfurt, Athens, and 12 destinations within France via Qantas' network of partners. Qantas also offers a "circle fare" that allows customers to fly into Paris and return to Australia from London or Rome on a single ticket.
Tickets for these flights are available for purchase starting at $1,899 from Perth at 9 a.m. Western Standard Time (WST) until November 2nd unless sold out earlier via qantas.com and through Travel Agents.

- QF5/QF6 Perth-Rome (Boeing 787)
- QF33/QF34 Perth-Paris (Boeing 787) (bookable and flyable from Sydney)
- QF1/QF2 Sydney-Singapore-London (A380)
In addition, Qantas customers can also travel to Europe on Emirates flights via Dubai and with four other partner airlines.
