In the midst of an escalating conflict, Israeli airlines have taken a significant step to support their nation. El Al, Israir, and Arkia, three major Israeli airlines, have added more flights to bring reservists back home.

The airlines have added these flights in response to Israel's call for an unprecedented 300,000 reservists. This move comes as Israel warned residents of the Palestinian enclave Gaza to evacuate, indicating a potential ground assault in response to the Palestinian militant group Hamas' unprecedented weekend attack.

Israir Airlines is offering flights from Larnaca in Turkey, Corfu in Greece, and Batumi in Georgia to help bring Israelis back to the country. Arkia has also offered flights from the Greek capital Athens to Eilat in southern Israel and Marrakesh in Morocco to Tel Aviv. Flag carrier El Al has added a flight from Athens on Tuesday.

While many major airlines have canceled flights to and from Israel due to the conflict, domestic carriers have looked to ramp up capacity. However, there are concerns about staff shortages as foreign crews were asked to leave the country while some Israeli staff were also recruited to fight.
