Reports: Go First is facing another wave of mass resignations

Go First, India's largest low-cost airline is reportedly facing another wave of mass resignations. Around 150 employees have reportedly quit in the last two weeks, including pilots, cabin crew members, and ground handling and engineering staff.  The resignations are reportedly due to the airline's failure to pay salaries on time.

A source told Moneycontrol that "around 150 employees, including 30 pilots, 50 cabin crew members, and 50 ground handling and engineering employees, have put in their papers in the last two weeks."  The airline has also been struggling financially. In May, it was reported that Go First was seeking urgent funds from lenders to cover mandatory liabilities.

The mass resignations are a major blow to Go First, which is already facing mounting challenges. The airline has been struggling to compete with other low-cost carriers, such as IndiGo and SpiceJet. It has also been hit by the rising cost of fuel and other operating costs.  The resignations are likely to further impact Go First's operations. The airline has already been forced to cancel flights due to staff shortages. If the resignations continue, it could force the airline to ground even more flights.  The mass resignations are also a sign of the times.

The aviation industry is facing a number of challenges, including the rising cost of fuel, the ongoing pandemic, and the war in Ukraine. These challenges are leading to job losses and financial difficulties for airlines around the world.  It remains to be seen how Go First will weather the current storm. However, the mass resignations are a major setback for the airline and could have a significant impact on its operations.
