Avolon, an international leasing company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to order 20 A330neo aircraft, aiming to secure the earliest available slots to capitalize on growing global widebody demand.
Avolon currently has a fleet of 616 Airbus aircraft, including 55 A330neos, 208 A320ceo, 285 A320neo, 51 A330ceo, and 17 A350s. CEO Andy Cronin emphasized the company's support for the A330neo program and its ability to lock in future growth in a supply-constrained environment.
Avolon's commitment to the A330neo aircraft reflects its confidence in the long-term growth trajectory of the aviation sector, which is projected to almost double the global passenger fleet by 2042. The A330neo, powered by the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, offers passengers high levels of comfort, ambiance, and design.
With 1,775 firm orders from 130 customers worldwide, the A330 Family is the world's most popular widebody family, dominating the short-and medium-haul widebody market.
