NetJets has been using Embraer planes since 2010, when it ordered its first Phenom 300s, a smaller model in Embraer's executive jet family. NetJets then grew its Phenom fleet to over 100 aircraft over the next few decades. In 2021, it purchased 100 more of the kind in a transaction worth US$1.2 billion. NetJets, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, will expand its partnership with the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer into the mid-sized market with this new order.
