Boeing increases 787 Dreamliner production to four per month

Boeing has decided to increase production of its widebody 787 Dreamliner from three to four planes per month. The company plans to ramp up production to five jets per month by the end of the year.  The increase in production comes as Boeing faces growing demand for the Dreamliner.

The American manufacturer has received a massive number of orders recently from several airlines including an order of 78 units from Saudi Arabia's two national carriers. In mid-May, China Airlines exercised rights to eight additional 787s, not to mention ten units for Iraq Airways ordered earlier. Last but not least, 30 787s were ordered by Air India last December. Therefore, Boeing is having a busy order book to fulfill.
