The first ITA Airways A330neo leaves the Airbus production line.

On March 31, the first Airbus A330-900 for ITA Airlines emerged from the hanger at the final production line in Toulouse. The Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-powered A330neo is anticipated to join ITA Airlines' fleet in the summer and will be painted in the airline's characteristic blue color. Over the past year, the Alitalia replacement's fleet has introduced three additional Airbus models: the first A350-900 went into service in the summer of 2022, the first A220-300 in October, and the first A320neo in February of this year. Later this year, it will get its first A220-100.

The German flag carrier's, Lufthansa, CEO, Carsten Spohr, recently expressed optimism about the odds of a deal being achieved by the end of an exclusivity period on April 24 in talks between the Italian government and Lufthansa Group on the latter's purchase of a stake in ITA.
