Several passengers have been injured after High Fly A330 was hit by severe turbulence. Taag’s Flight #DT650 was operated by High Fly from Luanda to Lisbon. When flying at an altitude of 38,000 feet, the Airbus A330 (reg: 9H-HFG) was hit by severe turbulence over Northern Africa. When the turbulence occurred, 10 people were left with serious injuries.
A passenger described “It was kind of like you’re in slow motion, like in a movie, where you just see everything lift and all of a sudden it just comes right back down.” Turbulence is essentially unstable air that moves in an unpredictable way. Most people associate it with heavy storms but the most dangerous type is clear-air turbulence, which can be hard to predict. Remember to always fasten your seat belt when seated.
