Korean Air takes delivery of first Airbus A321neo

Korean Air has received its first of 30 A321neos on order from Airbus, becoming the first Asian airline to receive an A321neo with a “complete Airspace cabin”.

Korean Air’s new A321neo aircraft will complement its existing A220 fleet to help maximize operational flexibility, the planemaker noted in a statement.

“For its A321neo fleet, Korean Air has specified a high comfort two-class layout, with eight full-flat seats in Business Class and 174 in Economy,” Airbus added.

Korean Air is currently Airbus’ longest standing customer outside Europe, having placed its first order in 1974.

Based in Seoul, South Korea KAL’s fleet currently includes 50 Airbus aircraft, comprising the A220, A330 and A380.
