Qantas Rome Flights Hit 98% Seats Full

With 98% of seats filled in July, Qantas’ new seasonal service between Rome and Perth is perhaps one of the most popular in the airline’s history.

The 787-9 Dreamliners used for the 22 June commencement of the Sydney-Perth-Rome flights will be in service three times per week through October 6, 2022.

The Department of Infrastructure’s “seat utilization” was 97.7% for inbound services and 91.9 % for outbound services, according to new BITRE data.

In total, there were 2.057 million foreign passengers in July 2022, a considerable decrease from the 3.736 million travelers in July 2019 before the pandemic.
