AerCap Holdings has today signed long-term lease agreements with Air Europa for five Boeing 787-9s and 10 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft for delivery from 2024 through 2026. Air Europa will become the first Spanish Boeing 737 MAX operator.
On Monday (August 29, 2022), AerCap Holdings N.V. announced the placement of five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 10 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft with Air Europa on long-term lease. The aircraft will be delivered between 2024 and 2026, making Air Europa the first Spanish operator of the 737 MAX.
In Monday’s announcment,
AerCap’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Anderson, said,

With this landmark transaction for the airline, we are delighted to reconfirm our belief in the Air Europa business and management team and wish them every success with their fleet modernization program. The future is bright for the Boeing 787 and MAX programs. For Air Europa these new technology fuel-efficient aircraft will provide improved cost efficiencies and help them to meet their sustainability commitments. Also commenting on the new lease agreements, Air Europa’s Managing Director, Richard Clark, added,
