Around 200 Easyjet flights were cancelled on Thursday, today, due to IT problems. The IT problems were resolved, but the airline programme could be disrupted for the rest of the day.
“EasyJet can confirm that the earlier IT systems issues have now been rectified,” said the British low cost carrier in a statement.
“Unfortunately, they resulted in some cancellations earlier today and while we expect to operate most of our remaining flying programme some may still be subject to some disruption in the coming hours.” The airline added .
In February, British Airways suffered IT issues that caused cancellation of the national carrier's a morning short-haul flights from Heathrow.
