Emirates is back to Bali after two years hiatus

As Emirates is ramping up for summer travel, on May 1st, the Dubai based airlines is back to the famous Indonesian destination of Bali. The popular South East Asia destination will the served with Boeing 777 with frequency of 5 times a week.

Emirates flight EK398 landed at Denpasar International (DPS) at 22:15 local time. The Emirates 777 was greeted by traditional water cannon used to salute new aircraft or new route. After a delay of 40 minutes at Dubai International Airport (DXB), the flight departed at 09:50. But the flight landed at DPS 5 minutes ahead of ETA, at 22:15 local time.

Passengers and crew members were welcomed at the airport with the traditional dance of joged bumbung, which reflects the unique Balinese culture. Passengers and crew members were also served cake after a ceremony attended by airport officials.

Emirates' routed DXB to DPS will be operated five times a week until July 1st, then Emirates will operate a daily flight to Bali. Flight EK398 will depart Dubai at 09:10 local time and will land in Bali at 22:20 local time. Return flight EK399 will depart Bali at 00:05 local time, and arrive in Dubai at 05:00.
