Russian Government allocates 725 Million Dollars for local MC-21 jetliner programme

In its annual report to the State Duma, the Russian government decided to allocate 60 billion Rubles for the complete import substitution of MS-21 components and assemblies. 

The Report stated that within two to three years, the aviation industry plans to complete work on the total import substitution of components and assemblies of the aircraft. The report added that more than 60 billion Rubles ($725 Million), were already allocated.

Earlier, the Russian government reported their plan to allocate 311 billion Rubles ($ 3.75 billion) to support local airlines and airports as they continue to face international sanctions and operational restrictions amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. read more
