Iraqi Airways confirms that one of its planes was hit in the bombing of Baghdad International Airport

The General Company of Iraqi Airways confirmed the news of the hit of one of its planes in the missile bombardment that hit Baghdad International Airport this morning.

Iraqi Airways said in a statement in particular that "the missile bombing that targeted Baghdad International Airport at dawn today, Friday, damaged one of the company's out-of-service planes, which is parked in the vicinity of the airport."

The General Company for Iraqi Airways reassured its customers, stressing that its direct flights are continuing.

Baghdad International Airport was bombed this morning by several rockets, one of which landed on the civilian section of the airport, while the Iraqi media reported pictures of a plane sitting on the airport ground that was hit in this bombing.

The latest news stated that the airport of the Iraqi capital was exposed to three missiles, not six, as was mentioned in a preliminary version, and that three other missiles did not launch, and this turned out after the launch pad was reached, and military engineering experts in the Iraqi security forces dismantled it.
