INCIDENT | American Airlines Airbus A321 collided with a shuttle bus at LAX


On 10th February, an American Airlines A321 collided with a passenger bus at Los Angeles International Airport injuring at least five people.

The Airbus A321 was being towed along the taxiway near T7 when it clipped the shuttle bus. No passengers were onboard the aircraft but there were passengers on the bus.

As a result of the collision, at least five people were injured and treated by paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The tug driver, bus driver, and two passengers were later taken to the hospital for further treatment.

“A jet being towed tonight from a gate to a parking area made contact with a shuttle bus, resulting in injuries to about 5 people,” an airport spokesperson said.

“We thank our partners @LAFD for quickly responding and treating passengers from the bus. Other LAX operations remain normal.”

According to local reporters, a large skid mark from the aircraft’s tire was visible, and the bus’ windshield had extensive damage as seen in the footage shared on the internet.
