France to resume flights with southern African countries on Saturday

France  has announced the resumption of flights with southern African countries next Saturday, after it decided to impose a ban until November 29 on entry of travelers from 7 countries in Africa.

The French government said the European Union would issue a decision by the end of the week on the travel restrictions.

Several European countries, including Britain, France, Italy and Switzerland, banned flights to and from the Republic of South Africa and neighboring countries.

The measures apply to South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini and Mozambique.

And the French Ministry of Health announced, a few days ago, that it had detected 8 “unconfirmed” infections with the “Omicron” mutant of the Corona virus, which was discovered in South Africa.
