INCIDENT | Airbus A330 Collision with Airbridge at Paris Orly Airport

During a routine towing operation at Paris Orly Airport, an Airbus A330 was inadvertently towed into an airbridge. The incident occurred due to an apparent miscommunication between the ground crew and the tug operator.


Damage Assessment

The Airbus A330 sustained damage to its fuselage as a result of the collision. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed by maintenance personnel. The airbridge also sustained minor damage and is currently out of service until repairs can be completed.

Impact on Operations

The incident caused a temporary disruption to operations at the airport. The affected aircraft was removed from the area and operations resumed shortly thereafter. The damaged airbridge is currently out of service, but other airbridges are operational and there has been minimal impact on passenger boarding and deplaning processes.
