Flydubai has revealed its plans to establish a Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) and training facility worth $56 million, which is expected to be fully functional by January 2025.

The announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow on November 14, 2023. The facility, a collaboration with Canadian simulator and training manufacturer CAE, is already under construction. The 38,000 sq. ft facility will be located at the Flydubai campus in Dubai and will house six simulator bays.

These bays will have the capacity to provide over 43,000 training hours annually and can be extended to other airlines in the future. Flydubai anticipates that the facility will result in cost savings over its first decade of operation. The facility will primarily serve the training needs of Flydubai's pilots and cabin crew. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Flydubai's CEO, expressed his excitement about the investment, stating that it represents another milestone in Flydubai's growth trajectory.
