Delta and American Airlines are expanding their China flight schedules

Delta Air Lines and American Airlines Group have announced plans to increase flights to China in response to high travel demand in the Asia-Pacific region. Last week, the Biden administration revealed that the number of permitted passenger flights between the US and China would be doubled.

American Airlines has stated that their daily service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Shanghai Pudong International Airport will commence in January. The carrier has also confirmed that the published schedule will be updated this weekend to reflect the change. Currently, American operates four flights per week from Dallas to Shanghai.

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines, said in a statement, that it will be offering 10 weekly flights to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport from its hubs in Seattle (SEA) and Detroit (DTW). Delta has announced that it will begin its daily flights from SEA and three-times-weekly service from DTW on October 29.

Furthermore, Delta has emphasized that its partnership with China Eastern Airlines will allow its customers to fly to other cities within China.
