Omani LCC SalamAir Signs LOI To Lease Three A330neos From Avolon

Omani low-cost carrier SalamAir has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to lease three Airbus A330neo aircraft from Avolon, a global aircraft leasing company. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2023 and will be used to expand SalamAir's network to new destinations in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

The A330neo is the latest version of the Airbus A330 widebody aircraft. It features new engines and Sharklets wingtip devices that deliver a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The aircraft also has a longer range than the previous generation A330, making it ideal for SalamAir's plans to expand its network to long-haul destinations.

SalamAir is a rapidly growing airline that was launched in 2017. The airline currently operates a fleet of 12 aircraft and serves a network of over 30 destinations in the Middle East and Asia. The addition of the A330neos will allow SalamAir to further expand its network and offer its passengers more travel options.

The LOI with Avolon is a major milestone for SalamAir and is a sign of confidence in the airline's future. The A330neos will provide SalamAir with the aircraft it needs to grow its business and meet the demands of its growing passenger base. Currently, SalamAir is operating a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 family. The average age of the fleet is 5.4 years.
