Nigeria’s ValueJet receives two Bombardier CRJ900s


Start-up airline ValueJet has taken delivery of its first two aircraft - CRJ900 jets.

The aircraft previously served with Spanish regional carrier Air Nostrum.

ValueJet managing director Omololu Majekodunmi, said: “This is one of the many defining steps in ValueJet’s anticipated milestones. Performance, safety, and comfort informed the choice of our aircraft selection. With a track record of safety, ValueJet will deploy these aircraft for regional flight services once we have completed all mandatory processes and secured AOC approvals.”

Earlier this month, Nigerian carriers faced the threat of cease their operations due to surge of fuel prices and lack of supplies. 

The Airline Operators of Nigeria association made a decision to cease operations, but then most the member airlines refused to comply and later the association withdrawal the decision. read more
