A Volaris Airbus A321 experienced a tail strike while executing a go-around at Guadalajara Airport in Mexico. The Airbus A321-200, registered as XA-VLT, was conducting flight YOI607 from Cancun to Guadalajara. However, during its landing on runway 11R at Guadalajara, flight YOI607 had to perform a go-around. In the course of the go-around, the A321 encountered a tail strike, incurring significant damage. Despite the interrupted landing, the aircraft managed to land safely 20 minutes afterward.

Aircraft,that operated flight Y4607 from Cancun (CUN) ,is on ground pending further maintenance on it.

The event did not result in any injuries, according to reports. However, as a result of the incident, the aircraft has been grounded, pending additional repair.
