Japan Airlines Takes Delivery of First Airbus A350-1000

Japan Airlines (JAL) has received its first Airbus A350-1000, the latest and most advanced aircraft in the world. The A350-1000 is a long-range, wide-body jet that can fly up to 15,000 kilometers and carry up to 300 passengers. It features a new design, improved performance, and lower emissions than previous models.

The A350-1000 is the first aircraft produced by Airbus for JAL, which ordered 13 of them in 2014. The delivery of the first aircraft took place at Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse, France, on December 14, 2023. The milestone event was attended by JAL Representative Director and Chairman Yoshiharu Ueki and Airbus Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer.

The new aircraft will be used by JAL for its long-haul international flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport to New York JFK and Dallas-Fort Worth airports.
