INCIDENT | Severe Turbulence Injures Three on United Flight Near Myrtle Beach

On July 28, 2023, a United Airlines Boeing 737-900, registration N77431, performing flight UA-2122 from Newark, NJ (USA) to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), encountered severe turbulence while en route at FL330 over the Atlantic Ocean. The incident occurred about 240 nautical miles east of Myrtle Beach, SC (USA), causing altitude deviations of at least -150 feet.
