Delta Air Lines, one of the major airlines in the United States, announced on Tuesday that it will cancel all flights to Israel through November 15. This decision comes in response to the ongoing conflict in the region.
Suspension of Direct Flights
Since earlier this month, United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta have all temporarily halted direct flights to Israel. Delta had initially planned to resume some flights on November 1, but this has now been postponed. American Airlines has also canceled flights through December 4.

Impact on Other Routes
In addition to the New York-Tel Aviv route, all remaining Delta service between Tel Aviv Atlanta, and Boston will also be canceled. As cancellations are processed, customers will receive notifications via the Fly Delta app and contact information listed in their reservation.
Options for Customers
Delta is offering a travel waiver for customers who booked travel before October 11, 2023, to/from Tel Aviv so they can rebook their travel on available flights through September 6, 2024. The waiver also allows impacted customers who wish to cancel their travel to request refunds via the Fly Delta app or delta.com, or by calling Delta Reservations for refund support.
Ongoing Assessments
Delta is continuously monitoring the rapidly evolving security environment and assessing its operations based on security guidance and intelligence reports. While Delta remains committed to assisting those needing travel, it will continue making schedule adjustments, including additional cancellations on a rolling basis, as needed for the safety of its customers and crew.
Humanitarian Support
In response to the crisis, Delta has contributed $1 million to the American Red Cross for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) toward humanitarian efforts for Israelis, Palestinians, and all people impacted in the region. The situation remains extremely volatile. As such, Delta's primary concern is ensuring the safety of its passengers and crew. The airline will continue to monitor developments closely and make further adjustments as necessary.
