INCIDENT | Disruptive Passenger Arrested After Ryanair Flight Diverted Back To Manchester

On September 18, 2023, a Ryanair flight bound for Faro, Portugal, was forced to return to Manchester Airport due to a disruptive passenger.

Flight FR4052, a Boeing 737, departed from Manchester Airport at 6 a.m. Shortly after takeoff, a male passenger in his thirties reportedly became violent and initiated a mid-air fight. A woman traveling with him allegedly slapped him across the face due to his behavior towards another female passenger.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft, two counts of common assault, and a Section 4a public order.
