Saudi Arabian F-15SA crashes during exercise, killing crew

A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday when a Saudi F-15SA fighter jet crashed during a training exercise near the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, resulting in the loss of all crew members on board. The crash happened some 815 kilometers (506 miles) southwest of the capital, Riyadh. Military spokesman Brig.

Gen. Turki al-Malki said in a statement that an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the crash. Referring to the death of the plane’s crew, Brigadier General al-Maliki said, “May God have mercy on them, [I ask] the God Almighty to accept them from the righteous martyrs and to inspire their families and relatives patience and solace.”

An investigation committee has begun probing the causes of the accident.  Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest operators of Boeing-made defense platforms in the Middle East region, with 207 F-15 SA, and 62 F-15 Eagle jet fighters in service
