A medical team was called to the scene, and they were forced to amputate the woman's leg in order to free her. She was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The airport's director, Karun Thanakunjeeraphat, expressed his condolences to the woman and said that the airport would be investigating the incident.

"We are deeply saddened by this accident, and we are committed to ensuring that it does not happen again," he said. This is not the first time that a passenger has been injured on a moving walkway at Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport. In 2017, a man was seriously injured when his foot became trapped in a travelator. Moving walkways can be dangerous if they are not properly maintained. Passengers should be aware of the risks and take care when using them.

In the wake of this accident, the airport has announced that it will be increasing safety measures on its moving walkways. These measures include:

  • Increased signage warning passengers of the dangers of moving walkways
  • Increased inspections of moving walkways
  • Increased training for airport staff on how to respond to accidents involving moving walkways
The airport hopes that these measures will help to prevent future accidents.
