Hong Kong Airlines expands A330 fleet, boosts recruitment for recovery

Hong Kong Airlines is introducing additional Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft to support its route network and expedite business recovery. The airline is also increasing its recruitment efforts, looking for talent both locally and internationally.

The A330 widebody aircraft arrived in Bangkok on 21 June, addressing the high summer travel demand. The airline plans to add two more A330s this summer, enhancing its capacity to deliver excellent service and support its expanding route network. Chairman Mr. Hou Wei expressed confidence in the company's ability to meet passengers' needs and drive business recovery.

The fuel-efficient A330 widebody aircraft, with 292 seats in Business Class and 260 in Economy Class, is refurbished with Hong Kong Airlines' classic seat covers. The aircraft offers a spacious cabin and comfortable seating, with ample overhead storage space for passengers' comfort. Hong Kong Airlines plans to reintroduce suitable aged A330 widebody aircraft and expand its team to rebuild the network and deliver reliable service to customers.

With more A330s in place, the carrier plans to upgrade flight operations to destinations like Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Bangkok, Taipei, and Shanghai, and increase frequencies in July and August to ensure a satisfying summer travel experience.
