A Jet2 flight from Turkey to the UK was forced to make an emergency landing in Bulgaria last night. The flight was accompanied by holidaymakers traveling home from Bodrum. The Jet2 aircraft was en route to Glasgow, and passengers were forced to make an emergency landing in Bulgaria.
Police in Sofia boarded the airliner and arrested the man. Passengers bravely tackled him before the crew was alerted and the plane was grounded.
The incident took place at around 10pm BST during the LS124 overnight flight. A passenger, who asked not to be named, said they were petrified for their children's lives and everyone's safety on the plane. The passengers were restrained by a woman and an elderly man in another seat.
A passenger expressed their gratitude for the Jet2 staff's professionalism and said they are doing well after the nightmarish journey. Jet2 apologized to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused and emphasized their commitment to everyone's health, comfort, and well-being.
