Egypt Is Seen As A Potential Hub for SAF Production

Egypt has the potential to become a major participant in the Middle East and North Africa's SAF sector.

According to Egypt's local newspaper, Ahram Online, US firms participating in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Workshop have recognized Egypt as a good contender for building a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) center in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area. Keith Kirkham, Minister Counsellor of Commercial Affairs at the US Embassy in Cairo stated that The demand for SAF is now exceeding the available supply, indicating that this gap will remain in the medium term and beyond.
