According to industry insiders, Airbus deliveries for May appear to be on track to achieve at least 60 aircraft, subject to the final total of a busy end-of-month period and a customary audit.
This represents a 30% increase over the same month last year, bringing the total number of aircraft delivered this year to more than 220.
Airbus, which is aiming 720 deliveries for the year, meaning a large increase in deliveries after the summer, declined to comment ahead of the release of monthly figures on June 7.
