Yesterday, Sunday, Royal Air Maroc launched the Casablanca - Tel Aviv route, the first flight on this line, since the return of relations between the Kingdom and Israel.
The "Israel in Arabic" page, the spokeswoman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that this line will operate at a rate of 4 flights, a week, to rise to 5 weekly flights, provided that flights from Casablanca to Tel Aviv will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
On board the first flight from Casablanca to Tel Aviv were about 80 Moroccan businessmen, a delegation that was received by officials from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry expected that the flights between Casablanca and Tel Aviv would allow hundreds of thousands of Israelis to visit Morocco, and that it "comes in response to the aspirations of the Moroccan community residing in Israel, which has strong and solid relations with its country of origin."
